Scope
IWC was hired to complete a full phase civil construction scope for the Parksville/Qualicum Kiwanis Society. The work included the demolition and removal of an existing 30 unit housing complex, site preparation for the new affordable housing project complete with full sanitary, storm and water services, hydro, telephone and cable ducting as well as foundation excavations, backfills and road construction.
Summary
IWC was on site for a period of 5 months to execute on this integrated approach. Starting from demolition and staying until final grade allowed the IWC team to bring innovation to the project. Such as utilizing all product material on-site and recycling and crushing key products. This was an excellent project that showcased IWC's wide range of services.
